Vendor Spotlight | Events by Rebecca

Rebecca is the type of person that when you meet and chat for even a few minutes you feel like you’ve been best friends for years! I had such a great time sitting down over coffee with her and talking about life, kids, business and hearing all about her plans for her own entrepreneurial journey as she takes EBR to a whole new level with consulting!

How early should they look to book out a coordinator?

One of the first or second items the check off the list! First three things should be:

Venue - because it sets the tone and offers the limits of the day (space, rentals etc.) , then coordinator and photographer.

What sorts of services do you offer (day-of coordination, full-service event design or à la carte planning)? Do you create the overall vision, or are you more of a producer who brings in an event designer? Do you handle event styling?

Other services offered are more a la carte, like wedding styling and venue hunting! And of course their latest service, consulting! Rebecca explains below:

“Some of you may not know, and some might, we have recently launched EBR Consulting Services! We are fully invested in the idea of helping small businesses take their venue dreams and make them a reality. We offer all different levels of help and work with you to find the right fit for the phase of business you're in. Are you, or do you know someone who could benefit from our insider knowledge? {Specifically what a bride/groom looks for when wanting to book a space} Let's chat!! Now's the time.”

She recently helped a new venue who is opening in Dixon launch with this awesome shoot below, and are gearing up for their first wedding season, Araceli Farms, who we cannot wait to meet!! The photos below were shot by the amazing Carmen Salazar, shout out to her for sharing these behind the scenes shots with all of us!

What is the process of working together to plan the day?

The other great thing about EBR is that it is a full team of designers and planners! So while you may see Rebecca as the face of the company, there is also Olivia, Kate and Janelle who all team up to help each other and work independently on your events as well!

What was the most unique wedding you ever planned?

I love asking about a planners favorite wedding, because if anyone has seen it all, it is probably them, right?! I asked Rebecca about this and she said there are a couple, but the biggest surprise she encountered was a surprise that the dad planned for the couple without even telling her! She said that when the couple came out to be greeted by their guests after the ceremony he has set up (on his farm) to fly over with a crop dusting plane and shower them with rice! The end result was amazing and the rice was EVERYWHERE, but she said one thing to note… try to never surprise your planner, they know how to keep a secret if you want to throw in a curve ball for the couple! Take a look here to see more of her portfolio!

Do you handle professional services, contracts and payment processing?

They help facilitate everything if needed or wanted.

Do you handle the invitations, from wording and ordering to the addressing and mailing? What about guest list coordination and RSVPs?

They will help lead to local designers, and help source the cards but do not personally design much themselves.

Do you do destination weddings?

Absolutely!

Do you handle rentals? Will you coordinate delivery, arrival and set up times with the photographer, the florist, the musicians and the caterer/banquet manager?

Yes, it is the preferred way, it helps keep everything moving and in order/organized etc.

Do you have staff with you at the wedding?

Unless it is a very small wedding, you will most likely always see at least 2 planners the day of, and if necessary 3. Whatever it takes to get the job done!
