Last month we had the pleasure of working with a couple dear friends of ours on their big day! Its not everyday we get to shoot our friends and family, so when we do its extra special!!
The bride and groom couldn't be cuter, both are filled with so much love and joy when they are around each other you cant help but laugh and smile along side them! The entire day was gorgeous, beautiful weather, amazing guests, and of course a glowing bride and groom! The brides overall look was very vintage glamour, and it fit her perfectly!! The groom looked stunning in his navy blue suit, and we love having those deep rich colors that really POP!!
The invites were designed by the grooms sister who went to school for design, using some of their engagement photos! Such a cute and simple idea!
The couple was able to use the bride's vintage car for the day of the wedding who they had previously sold to a family friend. This car was not only the brides when she was in high school, but her mom's before her!! Such a great piece of history, and so fun that they were able to use it the day of!
Of course we couldn't resist using the playground as a backdrop since the groom is a body builder... his guys and his best ma'am totally jumped on board! ;) Then... those socks! Such a fun gift for each of the groomsmen, and what a great unique touch!
The decor in the venue was gorgeous, with gold and navy blue the space had such an amazing deep and vibrant feel, the whole space was warm and welcoming! Then around the whole space they had old vintage mirrors and frames that all had different quotes and phrases that they loved.
Such a sweet ceremony, he cried... she cried... heck, we almost cried!! The vows were perfectly put together, and well read, and they even had one of their best friends marry them! If you ask us... we say YES to writing your own vows, of course it sounds daunting and nerve wracking but in the end its such a great way to share your love with your guests and make them understand a little more about your story!
...oh and this sign, was carved by the brides dad, and her sister flipped it once they had their first kiss to have it say "Mr. & Mrs. Carter" !! Amazing!
This was such a fun filled night, with great toasts, amazing music, and tons of dancing... not to forget the father/daughter surprise La Bamba dance!! Such a great couple, great company, and a gorgeous wedding!
People always ask us why we do weddings... it's because we get to enjoy so many amazing people, personalities, and are welcomed into such an intimate and important day for these couples. We love that we are able to share this day with them and capture all of these incredible moments for them to cherish!! Cheers to happily ever after, am I right?!
