We just wrapped up an amazing wedding out in San Jose that had a gorgeous mix of Art Deco and glitz as well as some cute DIY touches! The couple is one of the sweetest, they are so in love and it shows with every ounce of their being, such a great chemistry to be around!
The day started out with the girls getting ready, where the bride's parents surprised her with gorgeous jewelry to wear, and saving the best for a last, a vintage car as she walked out to head to the church! Such a fun way to start the day, and the car was with us all the way until the reception, so of course we had some fun with it at the church.
The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Mission Santa Clara which was detailed with hand painted decor on the walls and had a beautiful spanish theme throughout. The preist who married the couple was light-hearted and happy, which fit them perfectly, (I cant remember a time that everyone was not laughing or smiling the entire ceremony!)
After our fun shoot with the couple we headed over to the reception which was at the amazing Hotel De Anza, filled with all the Art Deco charm you could dream of... when we walked into the courtyard where the reception was held it was decorated beautifully, and had all kinds of DIY charm from the couple to greet their guests! There were handmade name cards, cute paper flowers decorating tables and the cake, and to top it off the wedding favor (an awesome hand painted magnet) was not only handmade by the couple, but all of their bridal party helped to package them up for everyone!
We love stealing our couples away for sunset pictures, but since we were downtown San Jose there was a slim chance of catching the sunset... until we found out that the best man was gifted the penthouse suite by the hotel for being late on his room! We raced up to the roof and were able to capture some amazing sunset shots, it was meant to be!
The night was filled with laughter, fun, and dancing!! This group loved to boogie, it was so fun taking part in their enjoyment as the brides father mixed the music and kept the party going! To finish the night off, they had "Its a Wonderful Life" printed out for everyone to sing together as a parting gift and the end to an amazing night!
